K Rend Base Coats for Cement Particle Board
K Rend Base Coats suitable for cement particle board. The use of a compatible base coat and mesh on cement particle board before the application of a top coat is crucial. We advise that a lightweight render from the K Rend TC range should be used in all instances on this substrate but a scraped texture finish could be considered for areas under 25m2 subject to manufacturer approval.
K Rend Alkali Resistant Reinforcement Mesh provides high strength, good cohesion, excellent coating and is widely used to reinforce walls. This is a genuine K Rend product, beware of cheap imitations!

K Rend HP12 is a high polymer base coat designed to provide enhanced performance on difficult substrates. The enhanced properties allow for increased water resistance and easier adhesion. This K Rend base coat can be applied either by hand or spray, though in some cases, the use of a scrim cloth may be required.
