APPLICATION
Dabs should be placed at a minimum of 300mm centres, approximately 50mm in width by 100mm long and a maximum thickness of 15mm. For dubbing purposes, additional dabs can be overlayed to correct alignment within the substrate. Additional support may be required for the render profile bead until full curing of the Ecorend BA3 Fast Set Bead Adhesive has occured (allowing additional time for curing is advised where dubbing out has been completed). Key the product between dubbing coats where necessary.
Setting the render profile bead immediately by pressing the bead firmly, trowling out the remainder of the Ecorend BA3 Fast Set Bead Adhesive, encompassing the wing of the bead. Line and level should be checked immediately.
Excess material on the visible nosing of the bead should be cleaned from the bead with clean water immediately.
Minimum thickness of 2mm required for Ecorend BA3 Fast Set Bead Adhesive.
WATER DEMAND
Approx. 5-5.75 litres per 25kg bag
PREPARATION
Scaffolding must be independently tied to allow for uninterrupted application. Any faults in the structure, particularly those which may lead to moisture penetration, must be rectified. Mask around the areas where material is to be applied. Masking tape must be removed before the material has dried out. Beads and expansion joints should be included as required by the substrate and BS standards and carried through all applied materials.
MIXING
Ecorend BA3 Fast Set Bead Adhesive should be mixed with clean water at a rate of 5/5.75 litres per 25kg bag using a suitable paddle mixer. Mix for 2 minutes, allow to stand for 2 minutes then remix before use. The process allows the additives to dissolve and activate.
Care should be taken to only mix the required amount for use within 30 minutes to save wastage. Once mixed, adding additional water to try to extend the pot life will slow the cure time down considerably and weaken the product.
